Clarkson’s Farm Inundated With Fans As Local Council Fights Back : “It’s Just too Dangerous”

The reopening of Jeremy Clarkson’s Diddly Squat farm shop near Chadlington, Oxfordshire has resulted in the return of long queues to a nearby country lane. While his local council won’t be a fan of this, we’re sure that the team will be enjoying the revenue associated with this.

The TV personality’s farm shop recently opened for the summer season following a winter closure, coinciding with the release of the second season of his TV show, Clarkson’s Farm.

Diddly Squat Farm Shop stands out as a beacon of sustainability and community in the Chadlington countryside. Unlike big chain stores, Diddly Squat offers locally sourced and organic products that support small-scale farmers and local producers. The shop also serves as a gathering place for those who share a passion for Clarkson’s Farm and the legendary team behind it.

But, as fans would expect, in anticipation of the launch, Oxfordshire County Council issued a warning to fans about parking, urging customers to park “safely and considerately”. Despite the council’s plea, cars were seen parked along the grass verges leading to the farm. The council’s statement reminded visitors that the car park is small and to follow signage on the day, adding that staff are doing their best to maintain safety and traffic flow.

The second season of Clarkson’s Farm showcases another year on the 1,000 acre farm, featuring new animals, crops, and the presenter’s aggressive dealings with the local council. Clarkson purchased the farm in 2008 and started running it in 2019, but his expansion of the business to include a farm shop and restaurant received mixed reactions from villagers.
