Tesla Has Received Lawsuit From Model 3 Owner For Common Issue

Tesla have received another lawsuit from a disgruntled owner. The Model 3 owner, Jose Alvarez Toledo, is filing the lawsuit for the EVs “phantom braking” in the District Court for the Northern District of California.

Toledo received his Model 3 in January 2021 and has claimed that since owning the car he has had issues with unexpected and sudden braking. He says that the car “suddenly engaged the brakes and reduced his speed by about half.”

Toledo explained in his complaint:

“When the sudden unintended braking defect occurs, they turn what is supposed to be a safety feature into a frightening and dangerous nightmare,”

The solicitors acting for Toledo, Bursor & Fisher, are arguing that Tesla knowingly sold the vehicles with the phantom braking problem.
