F1: Lawrence Stroll Looking To Sell Aston Martin As Audi And Porsche Approach F1

Despite having 4-time world champion Sebastian Vettel behind the wheel of their cars, Aston Martin is still struggling to come up with any success in the 2022 season. Now, expert and ex-F1 driver Ralph Schumacher is expecting the businessman to sell the team while he can still get a return on his investment.

“In the end, Stroll is also a businessman and the investment would pay off like that. The hype surrounding Formula 1 is currently great, so it can fetch a good price,” Schumacher told Sky F1.

With F1 becoming more popular than ever thanks to the effects of Drive to Survive on the American market and the ripples created by the VW Group’s interest in entering the sport, the value of Aston Martin will have risen. This would be the perfect time for Stroll to grab a return on his investment. Would this mean his son, Lance, would stay on the team as a driver? We don’t know. But it would certainly shake up the grid a little bit.

Audi is currently trying to buy McLaren for a reported 450 million euros, but with McLaren fighting back at this offer, it’s possible that Audi could turn its full attention to Aston Martin. Williams and Alfa Romeo are also rumored to be potentials. We’ll, as usual, keep you updated on how this pans out.

Alex started racing at a young age so certainly knows his way around a car and a track. He can just about put a sentence together too, which helps. He has a great interest in the latest models, but would throw all of his money at a rusty old French classic and a 300ZX. Contact: [email protected]
