F1 News: Haas Chief Guenther Steiner Responds To Huge Allegations Against Team

Haas has been in the headlines more often than not over the past couple of months as they fought against their Russian ex-sponsor Uralkali and their ex-driver Nikita Mazepin. But now, while the American team is showing some of the best performance yet, Alpine, McLaren, Aston Martin, and Mercedes has started wondering if it’s getting more than just its engines from Ferrari.

Haas is engine partners with Ferrari, meaning it takes its power unit straight from the Italian team. But as per the rules, there can be no sharing of any other information. Well, the teams I listed before have now asked exactly what has been shared behind the scenes, with some suggesting that the Haas is simply a white Ferrari.

Team principal Guenther Steiner has come out to the press as being annoyed by the constant barrage of accusations:

“It is not even frustrating it’s just like again the same.

“We do everything according to the regulations. I said to the FIA: Guys, please come and check every day because we are doing everything according to the rules.

“I don’t get frustrated anymore, I just get used to it so it’s normal. Andreas doesn’t run the FIA unfortunately, so he can suggest it but there is a governance in place which will define it as much as he wants to run it.

“It’s just there is governance in place which certain people think they can change everything by just speaking. I don’t think that is going to happen.”

There will be more news coming on the subject, so make sure to stay up to date with what’s going on via our social channels.

Alex started racing at a young age so certainly knows his way around a car and a track. He can just about put a sentence together too, which helps. He has a great interest in the latest models, but would throw all of his money at a rusty old French classic and a 300ZX. Contact: [email protected]
