The start of the Spanish Grand Prix gave us contact between Haas driver Kevin Magnussen and Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton, and while the F1 has classed it simply a racing incident, fans had plenty to talk about on social media as fans erupted in opinions and pointing fingers.
Hamilton, dropping down to 19th, is now sitting 7th after just completing a fastest lap – since taken by Max Verstappen.
Here’s what people had to say:
That’s seriously unlucky for Hamilton

Replay from Hamilton's onboard looks like Hamilton was pretty blameless in that, I think Magnussen just got a bit too tight from the outside and gave him a puncture.

This race has got proper ‘blink and you miss it’ vibes. In all that madness, Hamilton is up to P7 👏 #SpanishGP

Ohhhh man. What tremendous disappointment for both Magnussen and Hamilton. Really would have liked to have seen what both could do today.
