F1 News: Charles Leclerc Reacts To His Disastrous End To The Azerbaijan GP

The Azerbaijan Grand Prix saw both Ferraris retire with power unit issues with Charles Leclerc managing to get his car back to the pits, but Carlos Sainz wasn’t so lucky, stopping his car on an exit road.

Now with the race coming to an end with a Red Bull 1-2, Max Verstappen first followed by Sergio Perez, Leclerc has commented on the heart-breaking end of his race.

This is Leclerc’s second DNF after Monaco earlier this season.

“It hurts. We really need to look into that for it to not happen again. I don’t really find the right words to describe it, it’s disappointment. I don’t know, we need to look into it,” Leclerc told the press.

Ferrari is close to the number of power units available to them this season so will want to fix this issue before they start getting penalised.

“We’ve been fast, we didn’t have reliability problems in the first part of the season. Now it seems we have a bit more, but we didn’t change massive things. It’s difficult to understand for now, we will have to analyse. I don’t have the full picture at the moment. Just personally, it hurts,” Leclerc finished.

Alex started racing at a young age so certainly knows his way around a car and a track. He can just about put a sentence together too, which helps. He has a great interest in the latest models, but would throw all of his money at a rusty old French classic and a 300ZX. Contact: [email protected]
