F1 News: Charles Leclerc Speaks Out On Controversial Italian GP Ending
Charles Leclerc has spoken out about the ending of the Italian Grand Prix after coming second to Red Bull’s Max Verstappen under safety car conditions. Fans were angry to not see Ferrari racing to the end of the race, and while Verstappen likely would have still won, it would have been great to see as much racing as possible.

Leclerc spoke to the press:
“The end was frustrating. I wish we could have ended up racing,” he said sounding disappointed. “Unfortunately we were second at that point because of what happened earlier. It’s a shame. I gave everything.”
This is Verstappen’s first podium at the Temple of Speed, with his lead ahead of Leclerc becoming even larger. Charles was asked if Ferrari could quicken the pace to fill in that gap:
“I don’t know,” he replied simply.
