F1 News: Haas Reveals New Livery After Dropping Russian Sponsor From Team

Yesterday, Haas F1 team revealed that it would be dropping its Russian sponsor after the country invaded Ukraine yesterday. Now, the team has revealed its new livery to the world.

Haas released a statement yesterday after Russia invaded Ukraine and fans called for the boycott of Russian companies. Sebastian Vettel announced that he wouldn’t be driving in the Russian Grand Prix, and F1 are watching the situation according to a recent statement.

Haas’ statement was the following:

“Haas F1 Team will present its VF-22 in a plain white livery, minus Uralkali branding, for the third and final day of track running at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on Friday 25 February.

“Nikita Mazepin will drive as planned in the morning session with Mick Schumacher taking over in the afternoon.

“No further comment will be made at this time regarding team partner agreements.”

The team has recently posted a photo of its new car to Twitter, lacking any of the livery design that connected it to its sponsor Uralkali, a Russian company. With no caption to accompany the reveal, they released the following photo:

Jeremy Clarkson recently spoke out about Russian Haas driver Nikita Mazepin after he released a statement on his thoughts around the Russian and Ukraine war.

“I’m not struggling at all,” Mazepin told the press. “Because I’ve always been a big supporter of sports without politics. I’m just very happy to be in Barcelona and I hope these three days are longer because it’s a nice experience.”

The Grand Tour presenter lashed out at the driver on Twitter, labelling him a “f*****g r****d” in front of his millions of followers.

“Nikita Mazepin. You f*****g r****d. Go and race in Russia on your own. You’d still lose.”

Now, F1 fans are calling for the driver to be removed from the sport.

Alex started racing at a young age so certainly knows his way around a car and a track. He can just about put a sentence together too, which helps. He has a great interest in the latest models, but would throw all of his money at a rusty old French classic and a 300ZX. Contact: [email protected]
