F1 News: Lewis Hamilton Breaks Yet Another Michael Schumacher Record And More Are On The Horizon
Lewis Hamilton has broken another two records after one of the most eventful opening races of an F1 season yet. The Brit ended in third after both Red Bulls suffered from power issues and were forced to retire. Charles Leclerc took the win with Carlos Sainz finishing 2nd. Hamilton, after a bit of luck and a lot of consistent racing, just managed to grab a podium with George Russell following in fourth.
This podium has allowed Hamilton to break another record previously held by Michael Schumacher, plus another.
He broke Schumacher’s record of 15 seasons in a row with at least one podium finish. But on top of this, he also became the first driver to reach 250 points in total. Mercedes posted the following to Twitter:
That’s 183 @F1 podiums for this man right here. 🤯
The record books still aren’t safe. 👊 pic.twitter.com/S30ig67byv
