F1 News: Lewis Hamilton Reacts To His Newfound Performance
Lewis Hamilton finished P3 at the Canadian Grand Prix after an impressive drive from the Brit only a day after he slammed his car during a post-practice interview. Now it looks as though Mercedes could finally have some luck on their side as the W13 sits behind Max Verstappen and Carlos Sainz of Red Bull and Ferrari respectively.
The Canadian Grand Prix has always been a favourite of Lewis Hamilton’s, but he was blown away by his car’s performance today plus a podium finish.
“We’ve had an awesome crowd here. It’s overwhelming to get third place, it’s been such a battle this year with the car. As a team, we stayed focused and never gave up.
“They are a little bit too quick, but we’re getting closer. We’ve got to keep pushing and hopefully, eventually, we’ll be in the fight with these guys,” Hamilton teased.
“Our pace was good. We did a lot of work in the simulator to get the setup right. I didn’t expect this coming into the weekend,” he added.
