F1 News: Mercedes To Change Logo For Pride Month Celebrations
With Mercedes in the midst of celebrating pride month, they’re changing up the famous star logo on the nose of the W13.
June will be a brilliant month for F1 with not only the Azerbaijan Grand Prix looking to be a race full of excitement, but the sport will be celebrating LGBTQ+ people with Mercedes making one of the first moves. They’re swapping out their usual star logo for a rainbow logo for all three races this month. Baku will be the first to see this change, and the British Grand Prix’s Silverstone will be the last.
This logo will also be displayed on Lewis Hamilton and George Russell’s helmets.
This is what Mercedes had to say about it:
Happy #PrideMonth ❤️🌈
We’re proud to be running the @MercedesBenz Pride Star on our W13s for the next three races, celebrating the LGBTQ+ community and raising awareness for Pride Month 🙏 pic.twitter.com/WbMNiC8L8O

Mercedes is still struggling so far this season with the Monaco Grand Prix seeing Hamilton finishing P8 and Russell coming P5. Baku could be an interesting race for the team, however, with them always performing well on the tight corners and long straights. Hamilton took the win in 2018.
Despite this change of logo from Mercedes, Hamilton has had a rainbow flag on his helmet since 2021 at the Qatar Grand Prix.
