F1 News: Mick Schumacher Suffers 170MPH Crash In Qualifying Before Being Airlifted To Hospital
Mick Schumacher has been involved in a huge crash in the qualifying of the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix.
“That is a horrible incident. A big, big impact,” ex-F1 driver Jensen Button says as he watched the Austrian driver hit the wall at 170mph in the first sector.
An ambulance was quickly rushed to the track as the conscious driver refrained from pulling himself out of the ruined Haas.
The son of the 7-time world champion was “conscious and talking to the doctors” according to David Croft, but qualifying was put on an obvious red flag as the track needs to be repaired.
He was eventually lifted from the car that sat on Turn 12 and was put in an ambulance to the highly praised medical centre of the track.
We’ve heard that Mick is conscious, out of the car and currently on his way to the medical centre. #HaasF1 #SaudiArabianGP #Quali
