Motorola’s Edge Plus Revives The Company’s Flagship Line In A Big Way

Motorola has returned to the premium-cellphone game with their new flagship Edge Plus, the same year that their Razr Fold phone recaptured the public’s attention. The brand, which was once as omnipresent as it gets, relies on the success of this genuinely awesome handset, and its specs certainly don’t disappoint.

The top-of-the-line Snapdragon 865 processor, powers this 5G-enabled monster, which is also equipped with a truly impressive 12GB of GDDR5 memory. That puts this phone in a unique position where it outclasses many full-blown computers.

The new model also has the highest resolution camera of any smartphone, with an amazing 108 MP sensor. It also features a triple camera system, where the main 108 MP camera is paired with another ultra-wide and telephoto camera. It has dual optical-image-stabilization, to keep pictures and video sharp and still, which is important when shooting the 6K video that the phone allows. These are features that a flagship could never be caught sleeping on, and the Edge Plus definitely has not been.

It’s 6.7-inch HDR10 screen, wraps around its edge, hence the name. Of course, phones keep getting larger and larger, but this beautiful display dials it to 11. The 90 Hz refresh rate, means smoother and scrolling and quicker animations, which will be impossible to ever return from experiencing.

All of this comes at a cost, and by cost we mean power drain. To combat this, Motorola has fitted a 5,000 mAh battery, the largest in a 5G phone. It will surely get you through a day’s use, but Motorola claims it will last two days between a charge.

Oh and yes, it also costs a lot of money… $1,000, which actually is what some phones cost nowadays.
