Jeremy Clarkson Gives Us A Peek At His Toy Car Collection

Out of all the motoring journalists I’ve ever talked to, I would think all of them would have some sort of die-cast toy car collection. Chris Harris, current presenter of Top Gear and previously working with Autocar amongst many others, is vey keen on a Tamiya kit (see below).

I myself have several models aiming their headlights at me while I sit writing at my desk. I think it’s safe to say, if someone lives and breathes cars as much as we do, you’re going to have some sort of toy with wheels in your house – partner permitting.

Jeremy Clarkson, being one of us, is far from being above this. He showed off a part of his collection on Instagram, which consists of what looks like a Ford Zodiac, a DS Chapron, and two other cars that I can’t put my finger on (let me know in the comments). See images below.

The Grand Tour presenter is obviously one for a patina on his models, with each of the four showing their age with paint flaking off of the metal models.

Of course followers of the presenter were keen to add the similarity in size to co-presenter Richard Hammond, receiving lots of likes in the process.

Everyone has their own stories behind model cars they own. If you’d like to share yours, please do so in the comments below so we can all share the nostalgia.

Alex Harrington

Alex started racing at a young age so certainly knows his way around a car and a track. He can just about put a sentence together too, which helps. He has a great interest in the latest models, but would throw all of his money at a rusty old French classic and a 300ZX. Contact: [email protected]
