Jonathan Ross Shoots Down Jeremy Clarkson In Hilarious Who Wants To Be A Millionaire Moment

Comedian, Joel Dommett, was left red-faced after his “phone a friend” Jonathan Ross decided to hang up on host, Jeremy Clarkson, when he featured on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?

Dommett was on the celebrity version of the show to try and raise money for his chosen charity. When he came up against a tricky question, he chose to call Jonathan Ross as his “phone a friend”.

When they called Ross, the Grand Tour host opened the conversation by saying:

“Hi Jonathan? Hi, Jeremy Clarkson, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?”

Ross quickly responded, hilariously referring to Clarkson’s Farm’s, Diddly Squat Farm Shop:

“Jeremy, I’ve told you time and time again, I’m not interested in buying any potatoes, you’ve got to stop calling me”

Laughter erupted from the studio whilst Clarkson realised that Ross had ended the call. Clarkson commented:

“There’s a first, Jonathan has hung up on me! Would you like to call Graham Norton? He’s a much nicer man, he’s much nicer, he wouldn’t hang up and he’d probably know!”

After managing to successfully re-connect the call with Ross, they continued to joke with each other. Ross claimed he was sitting in his underwear because he couldn’t turn his heating down, referring to Clarkson’s recent comments over the cost of living crisis. Clarkson wrote in a recent column that people just need to get used to the cold and that he keeps his windows open so that he is used to it, and therefore doesn’t need to put the heating on.

After helping Dommett correctly answer the question, the comedian went on to win £125,000 for Brain Tumour Support.

Fans recently saw Clarkson on the latest episode of The Grand Tour: A Scandi Flick and are waiting the release of the second series of Clarkson’s Farm. Although Prime Video have not confirmed a release date for the next season of the farming show, it is rumoured to be coming out in early 2023.
