Episode 6 Trailer: Jeremy Clarkson and Boys Take Another Dig at Top Gear

I remember when the new Top Gear premiered earlier this year, and I chuckled at the digs Chris Evans made at the old hosting trio of Jeremy, James, and Richard. I knew when The Grand Tour premiered, the favor would be returned, and so far the boys haven’t let me down.

The first one that I distinctly remember going “Oh snap!!!” with was on Episode 4, when Jeremy made a not so subtle dig right before Conversation Street. Now we have another one in the trailer for the upcoming Episode 6. Check out the video below to see if you can spot it, then continue reading to see if you were right!

Did you catch that? Let me put it this way; do you remember this video of Ken Block screeching his way through London in his Hoonicorn Mustang? For those that don’t remember, Block and LeBlanc filmed the segment, which included the Hoonicorn doing some gnarly burnouts at the Cenotaph war memorial on Whitehall.

Many people took great offense at the stunt, with folks like Col. Richard Kemp, former commander of UK forces in Afghanistan, making statements like “It’s worse than doing a stunt in a cemetery and screaming round people’s graves. It’s a shocking desecration of one of our most sacred sites. The BBC should apologise and cut that part of the show.”

In the Episode 6 trailer for The Grand Tour, a quick shot can be seen of a red Ford Mustang driving past….the exact same spot! Yeah, perhaps I’m reading too much into this, but it certainly produced a chuckle on my end. Coincidence? Maybe, maybe not.
