Fans Call For Jeremy Clarkson To Replace Piers Morgan After Host Leaves Show Over Controversial Moment

Fans of The Grand Tour presenter call for Jeremy Clarkson to replace Piers Morgan on Good Morning Britain after the host left the program. Morgan stormed off the set in a race after arguing with his colleague Alex Beresford over the comments he made about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry and their interview with Oprah Winfrey.

“Okay, I’m done with this,” the presenter said before stamping off behind the camera.

Following this incident, Morgan released a statement saying that he had quit the show:

“Following discussions with ITV, Piers Morgan has decided now is the time to leave Good Morning Britain.

“ITV has accepted this decision and has nothing further to add.”

Now fans are wondering who will take his place, while also being reminded heavily of the Jeremy Clarkson ‘fracas’ incident of 2015. Clarkson was keen to add to this on Twitter, posting:

“People of America. You sent Piers Morgan back to the UK. Now look what we’ve sent back to you. Ha. We win.”

Now, fans across Twitter are calling for Jeremy Clarkson to take over Good Morning Britain.

“Imagine just seeing the smug face of Jeremy Clarkson replacing Piers Morgan on Good Morning Britain tomorrow morning on ITV,” one fan says.

“I’m calling for Jeremy Clarkson to replace Piers Morgan on Good morning Britain,” another adds.

One fan even called out ITV, asking for Jeremy Clarkson to be a guest host:

Hey ITV how’s about making Jeremy guest host on GMB until you find a permanent replacement for Piers Morgan?”

Jeremy Clarkson and Piers Morgan have had a long rivalry since Clarkson ended up punching Morgan in the face. Since then, they have rekindled their friendship for Clarkson’s quiz show, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, where the two definitely prodded each other, but were overall very well behaved, making for a brilliant episode.

So what say you? Should Clarkson replace Piers? I’d have to say I’d love for this to happen temporarily, but I still want there to be plenty of time for the presenter to focus on The Grand Tour, and his other solo shows coming later this year.
