Fans Go Mad At Jeremy Clarkson After Rude Comment On Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?

Jeremy Clarkson is well known for his questionable comments, and while it usually causes a few “oohs” and “ahhs”, his latest comment has fans complaining to The Grand Tour host directly. The comment occurred on Who Want To Be A Millionaire last night on ITV, and has been stirring ever since with Jeremy Clarson even trending on Twitter for a short amount of time.

The quiz show aired for the first time this year last night on January 18, and it certainly went off with a bang as the ex-Top Gear host angered viewers. But what was it he said?

Towards the end of the episode, contestant Ronke Fadipe became stumped on a question worth £16,000 over US politics – the question being, what Hillary Clinton’s role from 2009 until 2013. While she didn’t know the answer, she hopes her ‘phone a friend’ helpline would give her some insight, but this didn’t help.

She said, “I’m really not sure” and Jeremy interrupted in a sarcastic manner, “Really? Could have fooled me.” Finally she admitted she’d “leave it here”.

Jeremy, during this time, was sat checking his nails, before he asked:

“Is that your final answer, or is that going to take 20 minutes to work out as well?”

She hesitates, so he continues: “Yes it is…”

“I just want one final time to [go through it],” Ronke replied.

“That’s fine,” Jeremy answered, adding jokingly: “Anyone got a chess set on them?”

Fans were appalled by the apparent rudeness of the quiz show host.

These are only a few of the hundreds of tweets aimed at Clarkson over the past 24 hours. But as always, fans of the presenter came to his aid.
