Fuelled-Up Friday: Mercedes AMG Project One Spotted At The Nurburgring

The Mercedes AMG Project One is one of the most interesting and promising upcoming hypercars alongside the Aston Martin Valkyrie.

Inspired by modern F1 cars, it’s powered by a 1.6-litre V6 accompanied by a couple of electric turbos and an 800-volt hybrid system. Mercedes promises 1,000 horsepower and a chassis to match this potent level of power. We haven’t seen this too much in real life, though, so with it being spotted at the Nurburgring, we needed to take a deeper look.

EMS Nordschleife TV and CarSpyMedia on YouTube have brought us these videos, which features a host of other Mercedes vehicles such as an EQS, new AMG GT, and SL, plus the Hyundai Elantra N.

The CarSpyMedia video shows a bit of snow on the track, which will obviously hinder the car’s on-track performance. But while its performance isn’t shown off quite as much as we’d like, the sound makes up for it. So fill your boots this Friday as we get fuelled up for the weekend. A high-revving V6 that sounds like an F1 car on the road? Count us in.

Alex started racing at a young age so certainly knows his way around a car and a track. He can just about put a sentence together too, which helps. He has a great interest in the latest models, but would throw all of his money at a rusty old French classic and a 300ZX. Contact: [email protected]
