Clarkson’s Farm has been one of the most popular things Jeremy Clarkson has ever put his name to, with his new Amazon Prime show coming under plenty of praise over the last week it’s been released on the streaming service. But with this positive response always comes something negative. Well… sightly negative…?
Clarkson has apologised on Twitter for increasing the traffic levels in his local area after fans have tried to get to his Diddly Squat Farm Shop. His show featured the shop heavily, which Clarkson himself admitted was the only successful part of his farming business.
“People of Chadlington,” Clarkson wrote. “I’m truly sorry about the traffic around our farm shop last weekend. We are doing everything we can to improve the situation.”

In fact, the resulting traffic from the show caused the police to be called. Thames Valley Police commented on the day:
They said: “Officers received reports yesterday in relation to congestion on the roads.
“Officers attend the scene, but no crime had been committed.
“Our neighbourhood team for the area is aware of the situation,” they told Metro.
Someone who lives in the area took to a Facebook group to vent their frustration over the traffic:
“Avoid going anywhere near Diddly Squat Farm Shop, whole road is blocked again.
“People stopping on the 60mph bend with nowhere to go.”
Another Facebook user added the following:
“Clarkson will not be remotely bothered. I’m sure he’s laughing at us all from behind the shop till.”
Diddly Squat Farms Shop’s History Of Controversy
Diddly Squat Farm Shop has come under severe scrutiny after it was opened in 2020, with the local council arguing against its adaptation to COVID regulations, where it can purchase product from, and even where it was built.
Fortunately for fans and Clarkson’s farm’s revenue, this was eventually sorted and now the shop is running – almost – like clockwork.
