Jeremy Clarkson: Piers Morgan Throws Critique At Grand Tour Host On Twitter

The relationship between Piers Morgan and Jeremy Clarkson still looks to be rather rocky, and while  they’ve both recently appeared head to head on Clarkson’s ITV quiz show, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, it looks as though there’s still some shade being thrown from both parties.

The most recent comes when Clarkson was asked to answer a car-releated question when actress Ronni Ancona used his as a lifeline. The question asked what the longest motorway in the UK is, and while Clarkson is most well known for his show behind the wheel of cars around the world, he failed to answer it correctly.

“M1, final answer.”

He adds: “This is one of those ones where if I’ve got this wrong I’ll never hear the end of it.

“But it was only an educated guess.”

Unfortunately, the right answer is the M6, meaning Ronni was only able to reach £1,000 for her chosen charity.

“I’m ashamed of myself for not knowing the M6 is longer than the M1,” Clarkson admitted.

Piers was quick to pick up on this and took to Twitter to make his comments heard:

“At least I know the longest motorway is the M6… and I haven’t hosted a car show for 8,000 years. @JeremyClarkson,” he tweeted.

This comes only days after he was on the quiz show himself and lost £15,000 for his charity, although he did give the charity £15,000 of his own money.

“You’ve humiliated yourself,” said a smug looking Clarkson to Piers during their episode.

“And you’ve cost yourself £15,000.

“But actually very nobly, credit where credit is due, you’re going to make up the difference.

“I’m trying to think of a positive…

“You did make it to £4,000 all on your own, then everybody else helped you the rest of the way.

“You were brave to come on and I was brave to have you.”

“I’m ashamed of myself for not knowing the M6 is longer than the M1,” Clarkson admitted during the show.
