Jeremy Clarkson Responds To More Local Backlash: “This Is A Man Who Hasn’t Seen My Show”

The first season of Clarkson’s Farm was extremely successful showing Jeremy Clarkson attempt to take on farming life. The show was praised by many people from the British farming industry for showing a realistic view of the sector, as well as from fans who loved the chemistry between Clarkson and his co-stars Kaleb Cooper, Gerald Cooper, Charlie Ireland and girlfriend Lisa Hogan.

We saw a behind the scenes look at the workings of the farm and also a glimpse at some of the drama with the local council and residents over expansions. The second series of the show is due to come out early in 2023 and fans are eagerly waiting to see what the team have been up to and more information on the opening of the restaurant.

Clarkson has revealed some details of issues with the locals which fans are also hoping to see in the new season. The Grand Tour host explained that a local resident wrote to the local council about one of his barns, claiming that the barn was not being used for its intended purpose. He wrote:

“Instead of sinking to my knees and weeping, which is what I was minded to do, I had to rush off to deal with other problems.

“Like the Brummies who’d seen my farming show and were out for a walk in the middle of a wheat field.”

“And the local who had written to the planning authorities saying I had never used my lambing barn for lambing.

“Plainly this is a man who hasn’t seen my show.”

The former Top Gear host is probably used to facing some backlash from locals now after many have complained that his farm and the Diddly Squat Farm Shop have increased traffic through the Cotswolds village.
