The Grand Tour host, Jeremy Clarkson, has come across many obstacles and dramas during his time becoming a farmer. We have seen many of these on the first season of Clarkson’s Farm and are sure to see more on the upcoming second series, which is due to be released early 2023.
Some of these dramatic moments were on the smaller scale with Clarkson trying to navigate his way around his new role, there was one in particular when a lamb ended up in a pen with the wrong mother during lambing season. Then others issued posed more of a problem, such as the backlash against opening the Diddly Squat Farm Shop from local residents as well as the local council.
Clarkson explained one ordeal in particular in a column for The Sunday Times, when some of his cows were trying to break out of the farm.
He explained that some of the calves had tried to escape and that he had to ask neighbouring farmers to assist him. He wrote:
“They’d tried, like Harrison Ford in The Fugitive and Tim Robbins in The Shawshank Redemption, to throw me off their scent.
“They went walking down a stream, but at some point they’d had to get back on the bank and immediately I was on to them once more.”
The former Top Gear host went on to explain that shortly after this, another local farmer called him to say they had been found in his field close by. The farmer then helped Clarkson herd the cows back to Diddly Squat Farm.
Clarkson continued in the column:
“A cow is like a deer or a sniper: it’s able to blend in.
“You could be right on top of it and simply not know.”
Jeremy has had issues with his cows before. He was previously “kicked” by one of his cows which left him with “smashed testicles”. He wrote at the time:
“It’s said a cow cannot kick backwards but I can testify to the fact that this isn’t true.
“A cow can kick in any direction.
“They are like Bruce Lee, only more deadly and determined.
“Having failed to connect with her hoofs, she went for another tack – putting her head between my legs and then raising it smartly.”
Although a specific release date has not been announced yet, as mentioned it is likely to be January or February 2023. We have put together everything we know so far and eagerly await the trailer.♦ Follow Grand Tour Nation on Google News
