Jeremy Clarkson’s New TV Quiz Is An Instant Success

Have you been watching Jeremy Clarkson’s new quiz show, Who Wants To be A Millionaire? We have, and we’re loving it. If you haven’t seen it, catch up on ITVPlayer, it really is a great show and it’s fantastic to see Clarkson in a different show format.

But how has the show stacked up to the general public? Judging by this report, it has been a huge success, culminating a total of 5.7 million views at its peak and 5.1 million viewer average. This has beaten Casualty which had a peak of 5.4 million viewers, but hasn’t quite reached the viewership levels of Britain’s Got Talent which culminated 8.2 million viewers at its peak.

The show has turned out to be a challenging one, with one contestant taking home only £8,000, and another two reaching only £1,000.

We praise Clarkson massively for his performance on the show. It’s great to see him try something new, but keep the same comedic factor that makes The Grand Tour, and previously Top Gear so great.

“No coughing now”, he said at one point, in reference to back in 2001 where one contestant asked a friend to cough when the right answer was said.

We love it, and will continue to love it as it’s still on every night for a week starting Saturday at 9:15 to 10:20 (UK time) on ITV.

Alex started racing at a young age so certainly knows his way around a car and a track. He can just about put a sentence together too, which helps. He has a great interest in the latest models, but would throw all of his money at a rusty old French classic and a 300ZX. Contact: [email protected]
