The 2021 Dodge Durango Hellcat Reimagined as a Pickup

Dodge is putting their supercharged 6.2-liter V8 Hemi in a Durango. The SUV will have an intense 710 horsepower and 645 lb-ft of torque. On the other hand, it won’t have a pickup bed. However, what if it did?

Well, it wouldn’t necessarily be as rugged as any of their competitors trucks, but it would be bigger and faster than an ute. In fact, X-Tomi Design made a render of the truck, showing exactly what they think it would look like if Dodge made this wacky decision.

Firstly, the back looks like you could just hold your thumb over the photo to get an idea of how it should look. Since it has two doors, this version of the Durango looks especially stout.

With the ability to hit 60 mph from a stand-still in a mind blowing 3.5 seconds, and an impressive top speed of 180 mph, you will have a powerful truck. Just not one with much hauling ability. It’s basically a crossover with a chunk cut out of it.

With AWD and an eight-speed transmission, it could be an option as an “all-arounder” if that didn’t involve bringing multiple kids to school, doing hard labor, or well… never mind. This wouldn’t be a good idea.

Let’s face it, you’d be an oddball for considering purchasing a pickup Durango Hellcat. Unless you’re a loner, who likes to go fast in a straight line, and needs to keep their single pair of muddy boots in the bed while doing it.
