The Grand Tour Joined By A Hot Rod During Polish Filming Ahead Of Race Track Visit

More information about the Grand Tour episode currently being filmed has emerged thanks to a local website, Moto3.pl. They were able to get to attend filming at Gdansk where Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May were causing trouble to get more information on the cars they were playing with yesterday.

We reported yesterday that the trio flew to Gdansk, Poland, where they met the three cars they’d be driving in this upcoming special: A Chevrolet SSR, a Crosley Convertible, and a Mitsuoka Le-Seyde. according to the Polish website, no one knew they were filming there. Even local law enforcement was in the dark about it.

Moto3m.pl reported that as well as filming on the Długi Targ and Długa Streets, they were also seen shooting in the post-shipyard areas, the port and Westerplatte.

A hot rod, based on a 1959 Ford Popular, can also be seen from the photos painted in a pearlescent blue with writing down the side. The first word is visible, and I assume the last, partly covered by the extended wheel arches, is “beer”.

According to the site, today will see the hosts race on a local race track.

We’ll update you as we hear more.

Alex started racing at a young age so certainly knows his way around a car and a track. He can just about put a sentence together too, which helps. He has a great interest in the latest models, but would throw all of his money at a rusty old French classic and a 300ZX. Contact: [email protected]
