The Grand Tour Madagascar Special: Jeremy Clarkson Admits Mistake Over Name Of New Episode

The Grand Tour has always been playful with the names it’s chosen for its episodes. An Itchy Urus, Breaking Badly, and of course, Seamen, are some of the most notable ones. But with the latest episode being named A Massive Hunt, Jeremy Clarkson now feels like they could have done better, with him taking to Twitter on this revelation.

It began with The Grand Tour Twitter account posting a press photo of the episode, asking fans to finish the sentence. “Indiana Jez and the…”. This, of course, resulted in hundreds of hilarious replies from fans like “Indiana Jez and the Journey to the Nearest Pub”, and “Indiana Jez and the Return of the Dacia Sandero!”.

But one fan spotted something that Clarkson, Richard Hammond, James May, and The Grand Tour team missed: a quite obvious name for the episode.

“The Manic Hunt, definitely missed a trick here!” a fan replied.

Jeremy Clarkson was quick to respond:

“Oh yeah. God. We are so stupid for missing that.”

Another fan then replied to him with, “an epic hunt”.

The Grand tour definitely missed a beat when naming this episode, which I can’t say they’ve done before. Although reports have stated that it’s actually Amazon who name the episodes, and not the boys.

Despite this, we’re very much looking forward to The Grand Tour’s exploration of Madagascar as they hunt for hidden pirate treasure with three highly modified cars. The episode airs on Amazon Prime Video on December 18 this year.

Alex started racing at a young age so certainly knows his way around a car and a track. He can just about put a sentence together too, which helps. He has a great interest in the latest models, but would throw all of his money at a rusty old French classic and a 300ZX. Contact: [email protected]
