The Grand Tour’s Andy Wilman Opens Up About Catching Coronavirus Again

It would appear that after recovering from COVID-19 over a month ago, The Grand Tour and ex-Top Gear producer, Andy Wilman has had a second bout of the virus.

During a recent pub quiz hosted on DriveTribe over a month ago, Jeremy opened up about how the successive episode to ‘Seamen‘ was ready to go and was filmed in Madagascar. All that needed to be done was Wilman’s part, the editing process, but sadly he was not well… at all:

“The producer of the show, Andy Wilman, who also edits it for months and months and months, he had to take to his bed a few weeks ago with this weird new flu. Barely able to breathe, I’m not actually making this up, barely able to breathe.”

Since then, Clarkson has opened during his column in The Sun, how Wiman is still feeling the side affects of the disease six weeks on and as a result, may have contracted coronavirus for a second time.

Meanwhile, Andy Wilman has broken his social media silence since April, to post his support for the Black Lives Matter movement.

Fans of Mr Wilman, sent him their well wishes as well as thanked him for his support for the movement. One wrote, “Thank you very much Mr.Wilman. It means a lot that you notice the problems in the US”.

We wish Andy Wilman all the best for his continued recovery from coronavirus and hope to see the next edition of The Grand Tour in the not so distant future.
