LeMans Driver Gwenael Delomier Flip His Car In Violent Crash At Monza

The European Le Mans series driver, Gwenael Delomier, was involved in a violent crash at Monza while testing his Norma M30 LMP3 race car last Tuesday.

The video shows the car suddenly without warning veering off the track towards the barrier, which it inevitably hits, causing the car to flip and finally come to a stop in a gravel trap. He posted to his FaceBook:

I’m fine, after a lot of checks I just (have) a broken vertebrae.

With only one vertebrae broken it could have been a lot worse, but unfortunately this could mean that he may not race in the series opener at Silverstone mid-April.
