When Jeremy Clarkson Proved An Evo Is Better Than A Lamborghini
Everyone wants a Lambo, don’t they? The power, the performance, the looks, it’s all just so scintillating. But I’m going to go out on a limb here and make a guess that not a lot of us can afford a Lamborghini.
Even Clarkson thinks this is an issue, so he brings in an underdog.
This has to be one of my favourite reviews from the ape, as he’s not only his flamboyant and excitable self, but he also brings up a very good question. What are you getting for such a difference in price?
The Lambo has three times the cylinders, much more power, and costs much more than the humble little Evo. But when the Japanese saloon takes on the Italian bull on the Top Gear Test Track, things don’t shape up quite the way you expect them to.
The Murcielago is driven by British Touring Car Champion James Kaye, the Evo is driven by… well.. Clarkson. And to our surprise, the car with a rally history that is almost endless keeps up with the exciting and expensive supercar.
There are some problems with having a car with such a large turbo attached to a 2.0-litre, though…
I still want one…
As much as you want one of these.. Jeremy Clarkson’s Winning Face!
Do you need a winning face?
