2021 Chevrolet Corvette Upgrades Revealed But Production Halted Due To Covid-19

For anyone who didn’t manage to place their order for the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette C8 Stingray in time may be in luck as their orders will now be rolled over to 2021 – this includes both the coupe and the convertible.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, production of the 2020 Corvette has been delayed indefinitely due to the factory ceasing operations for the foreseeable future. As a result, Corvette fans are looking ahead to 2021 and the new interior and exterior colour options that have been by the American firm.

Chevrolet has revealed two new exterior colours in the form of Red Mist Tincoat (replacing Long Beach Red) and Silver Flare (replacing Blade Silver) – all orders will include the option of dual racing stripes which will be available in orange, red, blue and yellow colours.

A member of MidEngine Corvette Forum, known as Ace, has created renderings of what the C8 looks like with the new colour options, and to be honest, we think they look great.

Other additions to the 2021 styling options include two new interior colour options and new Stinger hood designs. It is understood that the new Stinger hood graphics will be offered in 3 new colours including Carbon Flash/Edge Yellow, Carbon Flash/Midnight Silver and Carbon Flash/Edge Red.

For future owners of the Stingray R 3LT models, it is likely there is also going to be a new interior colour combination in the form of Yellow/ Sky Cool Grey.

Other changes for 2021 include the Magnetic Ride Control Damping System being made available as an optional extra, whereas before it was exclusively available to the Z51 Performance Package. Wireless Apple Car Play will also come as standard on on all models.

It is expected that we will all receive a full Corvette 2021 breakdown in the coming months. Until then, stay tuned to Grand Tour Nations for updates.
