Fifth Gear Is Returning After 3 Years
Tiff Needell has announced on Twitter that the car show Fifth Gear will be returning after a break of three years.

According to the ex-F1 driver, it will return in September on Quest.

It started in 2002 on Channel 5 when the original Top Gear was cancelled due to low ratings. It featured many ex-Top Gear presenters such as Tiff himself, Quentin Willson and Vicki Butler-Henderson. Additional presenters joined later on such as Jonny Smith and BTCC driver, Jason Plato.
Fifth Gear was cancelled due to lack of funding (according to Tiff) but it’s not returning to our screens to take on many TV and streaming based car shows. It will need to compete with not only Top Gear and The Grand Tour, but YouTube based shows as well such as Built By Many, a YouTube show with Edd China at the helm.
It looks as though Plato will be joining him as Tiff tweeted this out not long ago:

It’s also a possibility that Jonny Smith will again return to the Fifth Gear team as he tweeted this out a few days ago:
