Hybrid Ford Mustang Teased For 2020
We’re quickly moving towards a time where even the most muscle-bound cars are looking towards hybrid powertrains. Even Dodge is looking at making their next Challenger polar bear-safe, and if this latest tweet from Ford is anything to go by, it won’t be long until the Mustang joins the Prius in the ever-growing market of hybrids.

The release time was almost directly after the Tesla Model Y unveiling – a possible tactic to steal some of the hype – and the image boasts a neon blue logo obviously reflecting the hybrid characteristics to come.
Ford has already previously talked about a hybrid Mustang, so here’s what we know. It will more than likely be coming next year, and while we don’t know anything regarding a spec, they have hinted at a similar power output of the existing V8. So let’s say around 460hp, but with plenty of low-end grunt from an electric motor or two.
I for one am very excited to see what Ford has to offer through its future line of hybrid vehicles. They’ve invested a massive $4.5billion into the electrification of 13 vehicles to arrive by 2020. And with new EVs showing that they can still be incredible cars regardless of their powertrains, like the Jaguar iPace for example, I’m very interested to see what Ford has to offer the market.
