F1 News: Lewis Hamilton Takes Hungarian GP Pole Position

Seven-time champion Lewis Hamilton has taken pole position for the Hungarian Grand Prix tomorrow.

Following Hamilton will be Max Verstappen and Lando Norris who will be starting the race at the Hungaroring from second and third place, respectively.

The qualifying session hosted the trial of a new tyre allocation system which should help the sport with the aim of being carbon neutral by 2030. This means the drivers could only use hard tyres in Q1, medium tyres in Q2, and soft tyres in Q3.

AlphaTauri’s new addition Daniel Ricciardo put in a fantastic result, out-qualifying his teammate Yuki Tsunoda who was eliminated in Q1.
