Some of you may heard of the Laureus Sport Award and most likely some of you have not, but no matter what, the “Oscars of Sports” had their annual award ceremony and the flying dutchman came out on top.
This is the first time Verstappen has won the award and had to defeat the Australian favorite, Novak Djokovic, swimmer Caeleb Dressel, Eliud Kipochage, Robert Lewandowski and and Mr. Bündchen, Tom Brady.
Really honored to be crowned World Sportsman of the Year by @laureussport
Off course I have to thank @redbullracing, as I couldn’t have managed this without their incredible support

The funny thing is who Max Verstappen had to beat on the track to put himself in this position. We won’t have to go all into that again, but it’s just a little bit more salt in the wound for a team that no one on the Formula 1 grid is going to have any pity for after their near decade of dominance.
