McLaren’s Subtle Tribute to Jack Daniel’s at Las Vegas Grand Prix

The MCL60 F1 Car Gets a Touch of Tennessee Flavor

While several teams introduced a special Las Vegas Grand Prix theme for the inaugural race this weekend, McLaren chose to maintain a low-key approach, making only a few adjustments to Jack Daniel’s branding on the MCL60 F1 car to enhance its prominence.

Jack Daniel’s, an official partner of the McLaren Formula 1 team, has launched its “Make it Count” campaign for the race week. This initiative will feature digital content starring McLaren F1 drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, live performances by American music artist Metro Boomin, who will be seamlessly integrated with the team, and increased visibility of Jack Daniel’s branding across various McLaren platforms.

Regarding the changes made to both cars for the weekend, a Jack Daniel’s collage will be prominently featured on both cars’ rear sidepod and engine cover. This celebration marks the first year of McLaren’s partnership with the Jack Daniel’s Distillery.

The livery will incorporate additional Jack Daniel’s branding on both McLaren Formula 1 cars, set against a backdrop of repeating “Old No. 7” logos, drawing inspiration from the carbon fiber weave of the MCL60. The Jack Daniel’s logo will also take a prominent position on the race suits of drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, as well as in the team’s garage throughout the Las Vegas Grand Prix.

Leading up to the race weekend, Jack Daniel’s and McLaren Racing released a video telling the story of the car’s journey from the Jack Daniel’s Distillery in Lynchburg, Tennessee, to Las Vegas in preparation for the race. Titled “Special Delivery,” this piece features a good dose of humor and showcases the personalities of Formula 1 drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri. You can watch the video on McLaren’s YouTube Channel.

Earlier this year, Jack Daniel’s unveiled a limited edition Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey bottle to celebrate its collaboration with McLaren Racing. This exclusive bottle will be available at select retail locations in the Las Vegas area throughout the Grand Prix weekend.
