Wife of Richard Hammond Talks about Changes After the Big Crash

Back in 2007, Richard Hammond was filming a segment for Top Gear, where he tried to become “the fastest man in the UK,” the car he was driving, known as the Vampire, suffered a popped front left right tire and Hammond was injured after the car rolled several times from it’s top speed of about 280 miles per hour.

Hammond spent a good amount of time in the Intensive Care Unit with a significant brain injury. A lot of Top Gear fans held their breath as Hammond recovered and eventually came back to the show.

Even though it’s been quite a few years since the crash, Hammond’s wife, Mindy, is still asked questions about how he’s doing. here’s what she had to say:

He is sharper. “His brain now works at a heightened pace, which can be both surprising and challenging.

“Apart from that, he is still hilarious, difficult and about as mature as a 10-year-old. Thankfully.” – via DailyStar

Luckily for Hammond fans, the maturity of the 10 year old stayed intact and we have gotten to enjoy another decade of success and good memories.
