The Grand Tour

Jeremy Clarkson Confirms His Own Future On The Grand Tour But “None Of Us Know What’s Going To Happen”

The world is looking pretty volatile right now, especially for those of us lucky enough to live in the UK. If you couldn’t tell, that was sarcasm. Our borders are closed, we have a variant of a virus that seems to be causing havoc, and The Grand Tour is now completely up in the air. If it wasn’t obvious… there are varying levels of importance in that previous sentence.

With any level of travel seemingly coming to a halt over this Christmas period, we’re worrying how long this can possibly go on for. Not because we want to see our families, but because Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May won’t be able to film if they can’t move from tier to tier.

The next special, filmed in Scotland, is finished and ready to hit the editing booths, but where do they go from here? We know Russia is in the books for a future episode, but despite vaccines rolling out throughout the country, we’re still struggling to see a light at the end of this long and dark tunnel. Fortunately, Clarkson has confirmed the future of The Grand Tour in a recent interview with TVMag:

“None of us know what’s going to happen in the next few weeks and months.

“We haven’t got a clue, but I would dearly love to keep going with the GT until I start repeating myself and drooling, and then it’s probably time for you to put me in a home.

“But I love travelling, I still love interesting old cars, interesting new cars as well. So I can think of nothing I’d like to do more forever and ever.”

After the success of the latest episode of the show which takes place in Madagascar, fans want nothing more than the show to continue. while this looks almost certain from what Jeremy has said, we question how long it will be until we get another episode. It might be a long wait, but it will be worth it.
