The Grand Tour Madagascar Special Trailer Release Date Confirmed

We’ve been waiting a long time for more news on the next episode of The Grand Tour, but finally, after much annoyance from fans, we know exactly when the trailer for the Madagascar Special will be released to the world.

In recent posts from The Grand Tour across their social sites, they’ve teased us with a meme (is it a meme?) layout that tells you to zoom in on an image, in this case, an image of the three cars Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May are driving in this special, to read a secret message.

It says “top left corner” which says “bottom left corner” which says “trailer out tomorrow”.

Yep, that’s right ladies and gents. The Grand Tour Madagascar Special trailer is being released tomorrow, where we’ll see the trio drive across Madagascar in three modified cars, a Bentley Continental GT, a Caterham, and a Ford Focus RS, as noted in fan photos from the time of filming.

As you can see from the photo here, it looks as though their three modified cars are fighting against a dirt road that runs parallel to the sea. Not much more is known about the special, apart from the fact that they were also seen filming on Reunion Island before they made the trip to Madagascar.

Are you excited? Because we are.

This news comes only a day after more was revealed to about Mike Skinner, aka The American, and his views on filming for The Grand Tour to Grand Tour Nation.

“I don’t know what I was thinking. I got a call from Andy [Wilman] and he wanted to come up and sit down and talk to Angie and I.

“So Andy Flew in and drove up here and we sat right here and met. We had a conversation and he said we’re interested in doing a screen test with you if you’re interested.”

He continued, “some of the stuff was my own material; a lot of it was scripted. It seemed like they didn’t have time to do our segments the way I felt they should be done, and they kind of rushed things.”

Alex started racing at a young age so certainly knows his way around a car and a track. He can just about put a sentence together too, which helps. He has a great interest in the latest models, but would throw all of his money at a rusty old French classic and a 300ZX. Contact: alex@grandtournation.com
