Ford Bronco To Be Sold With 7-Speed Manual Gearbox As Order Guide Confirms Sasquatch Model

With the Ford Bronco being one of the most iconic off-road vehicles in history, it’s no wonder fans are eager for news. The last several months have seen a slew of bad news for Bronco enthusiasts, beginning with an airbag recall and progressing to widespread roof issues that caused production delays. Perhaps this will be when we learn if the manual gearbox is available after 2022 for models with the Sasquatch option.

In a recent Bronco6.com forum discussion, the 2022 model details were released, including an order guide and pricing data. Much of this information was already known or at least expected, including the manual-equipped Sasquatch Broncos. However, this is a crucial moment since it’s the first time we’ve had firm evidence that yes, it will be available in 2022.

Given how the worldwide semiconductor scarcity has impacted nearly every stage of production for most international automakers, that’s a significant issue. That includes the temporary cancellation of optional goods such as Super Cruise on the new Cadillac Escalade and Jeep’s Quadra-Lift suspension for the Grand Cherokee L, as well as In an era where supply shortages are a serious worry, not to mention highly publicized quality concerns surrounding the Bronco’s hardtop, nobody would’ve been shocked if Ford pushed back the manual option on the Sasquatch package to 2023 or later.

The good news is that Bronco buyers can now choose the seven-speed manual with the sturdy off-road package, which is still only available on the four-cylinder engine. The addition of Hot Pepper Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat and Eruption Green Metallic to the exterior color palette, as well as eliminating Antimatter Blue, Lightning Blue Metallic, and Rapid Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat from the list of options, are among other notable changes for 2022. Minor pricing hikes were reported by Bronco6g depending on the trim level; however, it appears that everything has increased around $250.

Of course, the question of whether buyers for the 2022 Broncos will truly receive them in 2022 is a big one. Many early Bronco orders remain unfulfilled at this time owing to production delays. It’s difficult to forecast when new purchases may be filled and delivered.
