Tesla To Build A Tesla Pickup Truck According To Musk On Twitter
Tesla is rapidly growing in size, not only in sales, but in terms of the models they are selling and the niches they fulfil. According to Elon Musk’s Twitter account, it looks as though Tesla is going to be providing to yet another niche in the near future.
What would you love to see in a Tesla pickup truck? I have a few things in mind, but what do you think are small, but important nuances & what would be seriously next level?

When you’re a social media star like Elon Musk, the easiest way to go about market research is to simply ask your followers what they want. So when Elon asked about what they wanted out of a pickup truck, they replied. Over 30,000 of them. Musk did however tidy up a few opinions by naming a portion of the spec in a later tweet:
The Tesla Truck will have dual motor all-wheel drive w crazy torque & a suspension that dynamically adjusts for load. Those will be standard.

What’s more, is with the pickup obviously being powered by batteries, it will be able to power tools thanks to heavy duty 240V outlets.
Pickup truck will have power outlets allowing use of heavy duty 240V, high power tools in field all day. No generator needed.

And thanks to a helpful Twitterer, it will be able to power air tools as well as it has already been decided that it will have an auto-adjusting pneumatic suspension system to cope with different loads and road surfaces. The pressurised air will simply come from the same system.
Wow, great idea! Since it will already have a Tesla pneumatics system, it totally makes sense to add a utility port.

As a pickup truck will be larger, there’s plenty of space for batteries. Musk offers a 400-500 mile range and the performance that we expect from a Tesla. This includes 4-wheel drive, locking differentials (or however this translates in the world of electric motors.
And finally, what is it going to look like…? Well, possibly something along the lines of the good ol’ Ford Bronco:
Bronco rocks

We can’t wait to see what comes from it and look forward to seeing it in the flesh as soon as we can!
