This Modern Lamborghini Countach Render Will Make Everything Better

The Lamborghini Countach was, and I suppose still is, a poster car for many of us. There has never been a more iconic wing, despite it being completely useless and in fact, adding additional drag to the car. But hey, it looked cool, and that’s all that matters when you own a Lamborghini.

Now, one of our favourite car renderers Khyzyl Saleem has taken it upon himself to create a modernised version of the original design. It’s not a complete redesign, it’s almost a restomod, with the original shapes still remaining underneath a host of tweaks and additions.

The major changes come from the lighting, with the front and rear LEDs now adopting the style and shape of the Lamborghini Sian’s. Unsurprisingly, it’s also lower and wider, with huge tyres and plenty of negative camber at the rear. Back there you’ll also find a diffusor to keep those rear wheels planted on the ground, and above the car a pair of shark fins to channel air over the car.

We’ve no word on the powertrain beneath this Italian restomod, but I’d love to see the original 4.0-litre V12 being swapped for the more potent 740hp V12 of the Aventador S. With that much power, it may also be worth taking the AWD system from the Aventador, too…
