F1: Ferrari Reveals Insanely Expensive Project With Major Sponsor
2021 brought F1 a partnership between Ferrari and Richard Mille, a luxury watch making brand, after the company sponsored McLaren for ten years previously. This sponsorship has carried on into 2022 and is now bringing fans a new timepiece.
The partnership with McLaren brought the sport the RM 11-03 McLaren watch back in 2018, of which only 500 were built, priced at $191,500. Now, Richard Mille has revealed the RM UP-01, with it poised to be the “world’s thinnest watch” with it measuring just 1.75mm in thickness.
At just 1.75 millimetres thick, The RM UP-01 Ferrari constitutes a triumph of technical prowess, breaking with the brand’s established stylistic codes, whilst remaining faithful to its identity and spirit.https://t.co/WqvuEmpuw7#RMXFerrari #RMUP01 @Ferrari pic.twitter.com/AWYQfjjsMH

Ferrari drivers Charles Leclerc and British Grand Prix winner Carlos Sainz will be wearing these watches, and while these guys have been given the watch to promote it, us civilians will have to pay $1.8 million for the opportunity.
Being thinner than a 10c coin and using grade 5 titanium, these watches are obviously something very special. They will also be waterproof and highly durable. This is important as only 150 of these watches are going to be built.

If you fancy your watches, this will be very exciting news for you. I love watches, but I’m not sure I’ll be wearing something on my wrist that’s more expensive than my house.
