James May Visits Richard Hammond’s Workshop And Proceeds To Savagely Roast Him

Richard Hammond has invested so much money into his new business, The Smallest Cog, he had to sell a number of his beloved classic cars. But it didn’t take long for the action to begin as he started a show to accompany the launching of the business called Richard Hammond’s Workshop, which was released to Discover Plus. Now, James May has visited the workshop, and it’s safe to say that he didn’t hold back when judging Hammond’s progress.

The Grand Tour presenter poked around the workshop, commenting on a number of things that he noticed. The first was a space heater that he told the camera “should be on”.

“It is completely useless off. All it does is take up valuable space that could be occupied by a car that no one’s working on.”

The camera continues to follow James around the building as he compliments the very expensive tooling and paint booths: “Really quality stuff,” he says.

The best line of the video, however, has got to be James commenting on how Hammond has bought everything new:

“I suppose if his business failed, he could sell this for up to 30% of what he paid for it.”

Absolutely savage.
