Jeremy Clarkson’s Farm: Who Owns Diddly Squat?

After doing some digging into the legal structure of Diddly Squat Farm, we’ve been able to find who’s actually in charge when it comes to the goings on of the Prime Video show, Clarkson’s Farm.

If you’ve ever watched the hit British TV show Clarkson’s Farm, you’ll undoubtedly be familiar with Diddly Squat Farm. The farm, which is situated in the picturesque Cotswolds region of England, is the brainchild of Jeremy Clarkson, former host of Top Gear and current host of Amazon’s The Grand Tour.

Clarkson’s decision to purchase a farm in 2008 came as something of a surprise to many, given his well-documented lack of agricultural knowledge. However, over the course of the show’s two seasons, he has proven to be a more-than-capable farmer, albeit one with a penchant for expensive equipment.

Despite Clarkson’s high profile and the popularity of his show, many people remain unsure about who actually owns Diddly Squat Farm. In this article, we aim to shed some light on the matter.

Firstly, it’s important to note that Diddly Squat Farm trades under this name, but is actually legally known as Curdle Hill Farm Ltd according to its website. Searching on Companies House confirms this, with both Jeremy Clarkson and Lisa Hogan listed as its directors after it was incorporated in 2020.

Jeremy is also listed as the director of a number of other companies revolving around the farm: A wholesale company, the infamous restaurant, and the brewery that produces Hawkstone Lager.

Jeremy Clarkson’s Involvement

Jeremy Clarkson is one of two directors of Curdle Hill Farm – trading as Diddly Squat Farm – and is the director of the other limited companies that run the restaurant, wholesale, and brewery. So he is ultimately responsible for these companies, while his partner Lisa Hogan is partly responsible for the farm, Curdle Hill Juice Ltd, and the wholesale business, too. The Brewery has a number of other directors alongside Clarkson.

This is perhaps unsurprising, given that Clarkson is known for his entrepreneurial spirit and has been involved in numerous business ventures over the years. In addition to his media work, he has also launched a range of products, including his own brand of beer, a fragrance, and even a line of clothing.

With Lisa being so close to him and taking on such responsibility, it’s of no surprise that she has a share in the farm.

The Future of Diddly Squat Farm

Given Clarkson’s success with Diddly Squat Farm, many fans of the show are curious about the farm’s future. Will he continue to run the farm and make a profit, or is it likely to be sold or leased to someone else?

At present, there is no clear answer to this question. However, given Clarkson’s apparent enthusiasm for the project and his track record as a successful businessman, it seems likely that he will continue to own and operate Diddly Squat Farm for the foreseeable future.

Looking at the balance sheet of the farm alone from 2022, the business has capital and reserves of £211,254, almost 100 times that of the year before, so obviously things are panning in the right direction.

In fact, in a recent interview with the BBC, Clarkson stated that he is planning to expand the farm’s operations, with a view to producing his own range of food products.

So, in summary, Diddly Squat Farm is owned by Jeremy Clarkson and Lisa Hogan. Despite his lack of agricultural experience, Clarkson has proven to be a more-than-capable farmer, and it seems likely that he will continue to own and operate the farm for the foreseeable future alongside his partner who has proven to be a brilliant and resourceful part of the team.

For fans of Clarkson’s Farm, this news will no doubt come as a relief. Despite the various challenges that Clarkson has faced over the course of the show, his love for the farm and his determination to succeed have shone through, making it one of the most popular shows on TV today.

Clarkson’s Farm Season 3 Returns

The popular farming show, Clarkson’s Farm, will be returning for a third season. The confirmation was announced by Amazon Prime Video, and fans of the show are eagerly anticipating the return of Jeremy Clarkson and his antics on Diddly Squat Farm. Season 2 was a huge success, and viewers can expect more laughs, drama, and insightful lessons about agriculture from the upcoming season.

The release date is currently unknown, but I’d expect a similar date to Series 2 which was released in February of 2023.

Alex Harrington

Alex started racing at a young age so certainly knows his way around a car and a track. He can just about put a sentence together too, which helps. He has a great interest in the latest models, but would throw all of his money at a rusty old French classic and a 300ZX. Contact: [email protected]
