The Gorgeous Porsche 356-Inspired Hermes Speedster E Is A Next Level Electric Boat
The UK-based company Seven Seas Yachts has got to work on a Porsche-inspired boat, specifically, the Porsche 356, a rare sports car built until the mid-sixties. Its beauty is timeless with elegant curves and a soft, rounded body shape. What better shape to apply to something that crosses the water?
With a length of just 22 feet, the Hermes Speedster E was built to specifically mimic the classic Porsche in every way possible, from its paint and interior to its rounded lines and windscreen shape. It has a stitched red-leather interior with analog instruments, but under its seven layer, low resistance ‘hydrodynamic’ hull sits an all-electric form of propulsion which is good for a top speed of 45mph. According to Seven Seas Yachts, it’s one of the most efficient production boasts in the world.
Its 72-degree access angled bow allows it to push through waves with minimal resistance ensuring a soft and smooth ride, and it has space for up to five passengers – two in the front and three sat in the rear, including the pilot.
The whole boat is available in a host of custom colours to cater for the individual buyer, and it’s currently listed for $133,600 at Nicks Boats, a Dutch dealer. For a specific request, get in touch with Seven Seas Yachts through their website.
