F1: Michael Schumacher “Violated” By Close Friend Who Betrayed Him For £1Million

Michael Schumacher, the legendary Formula One driver, has been out of the public eye since his tragic skiing accident in December 2013, which left him with severe brain injuries. The Schumacher family has been extremely private about his condition, and only a select few have been allowed to visit him. However, it has recently been revealed that a “close friend” of Schumacher attempted to sell photos of him to the press for £1 million.

According to the Express, the individual, who visited Schumacher in 2016, tried to sell the photos to European media. Thankfully, the Schumacher family was able to prevent these photos from being released to the public. Prosecutors have described the act as a “violation of his personal range of life” and a breach of his privacy.

Over the years, the Schumacher family has released a few updates on Michael’s condition. In the Netflix documentary on the F1 icon, Michael’s wife Corinna spoke about him, saying, “Michael is here. Different, but he’s here, and that gives us strength, I find. We’re together. We live together at home. We do therapy. We do everything we can to make Michael better and to make sure he’s comfortable. And to simply make him feel our family, our bond.”

She went on to say, “No matter what, I will do everything I can. We all will. We’re trying to carry on as a family, the way Michael liked it and still does. And we are getting on with our lives. ‘Private is private’, as he always said. It’s very important to me that he can continue to enjoy his private life as much as possible. Michael always protected us, and now we are protecting Michael.”
