F1 News: Charles Leclerc Crashes Classis Ferrari F1 Car At Monaco Historic Grand Prix
Ferrari driver and current 2022 F1 season leader Charles Leclerc has crashed in Monaco while driving Niki Lauda’s classic Ferrari F1 car.
Driving on a demonstration run at the Monaco Historic Grand Prix, Leclerc crashed the 1974 Ferrari 312 B3 driven by three-time champion Lauda. Towards the end of his time in the car, the rear tyres lost traction and the car span, coming to a stop after hitting the barriers of the road course. There wasn’t a lot of damage, but what damage there was will cost a pretty penny, I’m sure.
“When you thought you already had all the bad luck of the world in Monaco and you lose the brakes into Rascasse with one of the most iconic historical Ferrari Formula 1 cars…,” Leclerc wrote on his Twitter page.

Leclerc hasn’t had the best luck at Monaco so far in his career, crashing during Q3 last season, causing driveshaft failure, bringing his weekend to an end. In fact, he’s yet to finish a Monaco GP so far in his Formula 1 career which started in 2018.

In a few weeks, hopefully we’ll see him come to the end of his first-ever Monaco Grand Prix. Hopefully.
