Sergio Perez’s 250th Grand Prix: A Historic Milestone at Singapore GP

Red Bull's Star Driver Set to Join Formula 1's Elite with a Special Helmet Design to Mark the Occasion

Red Bull’s Mexican sensation, Sergio Perez, is gearing up for an extraordinary achievement at the upcoming Singapore Grand Prix – his 250th Grand Prix appearance. This remarkable milestone catapults him into an elite group of 11 drivers with the most race starts in their illustrious careers. In this exclusive club, Perez rubs shoulders with legends like Lewis Hamilton, Fernando Alonso, Kimi Raikkonen, Michael Schumacher, and Sebastian Vettel.

A moment of true significance, this feat also sees Perez surpass the 247-race mark set by the iconic David Coulthard. The ‘King of the Street Circuits,’ as Perez is fondly known, is determined to make this event even more unforgettable by replicating his outstanding performance from the 2022 season.

In the 2022 Singapore Grand Prix, Perez emerged as the victor, clinching a memorable win. Sharing the podium with him were Ferrari’s dynamic duo, Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz, who secured second and third positions, respectively. This triumphant race not only solidified Perez’s reputation but also showcased his prowess on the demanding street circuit.

Sergio Perez’s excitement about this milestone is palpable. He has even designed a special helmet to commemorate this exceptional achievement. Speaking about the upcoming race and his unique helmet design, Perez commented:

“I am looking forward to going back to Singapore, last season was probably one of the best races of my career.

“It was such a hard one to navigate, with the heat, the track conditions and the concentration that is required around a street circuit.

“Of course, I would love to repeat the win but it will be tricky, the new track layout is going to make things quicker in sector three and there will be rain, so it could be fun!”

“It’s a true honor to reach this milestone in my career. Joining the ranks of legendary drivers like Lewis Hamilton and Michael Schumacher is a dream come true. I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to be part of the Formula 1 legacy. To celebrate this moment, I’ve designed a special helmet that reflects my journey in the sport and pays homage to the fans who have supported me throughout the years. The Singapore Grand Prix is going to be a memorable event, and I’m determined to make it even more special by delivering a top-notch performance.”

With the Singapore Grand Prix just around the corner, all eyes are on Sergio Perez as he gears up to etch his name further into the annals of Formula 1 history.

“This weekend is my 250th race in Formula One and I never would have imagined I would race an F1 car that many times when I started my career.

“It has been a dream and I am proud to have represented Mexico all over the world for this many years and I would love to give them another win this Sunday.

“I have a one-off helmet to mark the moment and I think it’s going to look very special under the lights at night.”
