Jeremy Clarkson Sends Threat To Fan After Cheeky Clarkson’s Farm Comment

The Grand Tour host Jeremy Clarkson has hit back at a fan on social media after a cheeky comment about the price of the chilli chutney at the Diddly Squat Farm Shop.

The former Top Gear host took to Instagram to share a photo from his holiday of a sea view with four different yachts in it. One fan was quick to leave a comment, writing:

“Are all 4 yours Jeremy Clarkson I’ve seen the prices for chilli chutney in the farm shop”

Clarkson was very clearly having none of it and responded to the fan, writing:

“That’s what it costs to make it. If you want to ruin farmers, buy it for less in the supermarket.”

Other fans championed the Clarkson’s Farm presenter for calling out the fan and for defending the farming community. Another fan commented:

“Living in a rural setting ourselves we all love you and thank you for all you have done for farming. We need to buy local foods, that may be more expensive but supports local trade and tastes sooo good. Choose what you buy locally – meat, eggs and then the jars of things like the chutney can be a treat. I appreciate times are hard though …”

Ever since the first series of Prime Video’s Clarkson’s Farm was released, Clarkson has been showered with praise for portraying the difficulties that the UK farming industry faces in a realistic way. Another fan touched on this in the comments, posting:

“Doing more for British farming than Countryfile have done in decades!”

Filming for Clarkson’s Farm series 3 is currently underway and although a release date has not been confirmed yet, it is anticipated that it will be released in August 2024.
